The Texas A&M Polo Club is happy to announce that we will be hosting a horseback riding evening on Friday February 19th 2024! Lessons will run from 6-9pm at the TAMU Polo Barn– at 3869 F and B Rd, College Station TX 77845– located just five minutes from campus down Harvey Mitchel Parkway!
Designed for riders of all skill levels from total beginner to advance, our lesson program is all-encompassing and designed to let riders get the most out of their 45-minute instruction period. Our team of instructors will work directly with every rider to ensure participants can hone their horse-handling skills while having fun! The Texas A&M Polo Club is committed to developing horsemanship and invite everyone to come out and give it a try. There is absolutely no horse experience required to participate!
Lessons will be in groups, so feel free to sign up by yourself or with your friends! We will provide horses, tack, and helmets (but you can bring your own helmet if you have one). The only thing we require from you is long pants and closed toed shoes.
This opportunity is open to current Texas A&M students or staff members (with a current TAMU ID)
We offer Beginner-Advanced Riding Lesson Options: you will be placed in a group best encompassing your riding experience.
- Have you never touched a horse before?
- Have you been riding for a long time?
- Do you know how to trot?
- Do you know how to canter?
- Are you interested in learning to ride?
- Have you missed riding?
ALL riders must have an APPROVED AOR (assumption of risk) form to participate which can be filled out at the link below AT LEAST 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE: sportclubs.tamu.edu/clubs/joinClub.
